– ultimo capitolo, il numero 13 “La grotta dei turchi”

Era bello per Dora sentirsi esploratrice di se stessa seguendo le tracce che Antonio lasciava nella sua vita ormai da un anno.

Padova l’accoglieva nel suo clima migliore: soleggiato e appena fresco, libero dalla morsa di umidità che l’aveva attanagliata nei giorni precedenti e si respirava nell’aria i profumi del mosto che annunciava vendemmie anticipate.

Era giunta là dove voleva arrivare e raccoglieva simbolicamente l’ultima briciola di pane come piccola Gretel nel bosco prima di alzare lo sguardo e trovarsi innanzi l’imponente basilica di Sant’Antonio, quando l’emozione la colse fino alle lacrime.
La fila di fedeli in visita al Santo era lunghissima e molti erano bambini e anziani disabili in carrozzella, molti erano gli ammalati nel corpo e nello spirito che cercavano in Antonio, a distanza di 800 anni dalla sua morte, la forza taumaturgica che ancora nei secoli compiva miracoli.

L’anima sua volteggiava tra gli angeli in alto alla cupola dipinta a cielo stellato e il senso di inenarrabile leggerezza che Dora avvertiva faceva svanire il tempo, che si posava delicatamente su tutti i presenti per carezzare in fila la pietra nera del sepolcro che custodiva le sante spoglie di quell’uomo di Lisbona che seppe dire Sì all’Amore anche quando amare è difficile.
E poi la sua lingua incorrotta nel reliquiario come eco di parole che continueranno a rimbalzare nel tempo.

Invidia, orgoglio, il vuoto… non sono casa per l’anima che accoglie la speranza, ma sono camere buie, nelle quali innumerevoli anime scelgono di restare.

“Testimoniate l’Amore che vive nel vostro cuore e sia dono gratuito ad altri cuori e a quelli impietriti lasciate un vostro sorriso come segno incancellabile della presenza del Divino nella vostra vita!”
Questo era il messaggio che Dora sentiva dettato al suo cuore da Antonio e, carica di questa passione, sarebbe tornata a Parvenza per svelare il segreto che sentiva celarsi nella Grotta dei turchi.
